"LampizatOr has been on my radar since I dunno when, when I first crossed paths with a Generation 3, Level 4 DAC. That experience remains one of the most compelling of my short audiophile career, and I still think back fondly on that. Since then, Lukasz has pretty much gone bananas."

"LampizatOr is a brand that I’ve written about over the years, and it’s great to see designer Lukasz Fikus continuing to refine and extend his reach into audio’s uppermost reaches. With tubes, an innovative circuit and quality parts, Lukasz has created what, to my ears at least, may well be the one of most liquid and limpid DACs on the market. Analog, shmanalog — a LampizatOr is what your average turntable wants to be when it grows up, rummages around in your closet and emerges wearing a bright blue mask and the tights of Justice. 'I’m sure millions of readers out there are just wondering what it’s like to wear the tights of justice. Well, it’s tingly and it’s uncomfortable, but it gets the job done and, oh, the job of it.'"

"Headphones aside, I don’t often make more than a passing comment about the sound of individual components at shows. It’s simply impossible to know how much each component – including the room itself – contributes to the end result. Anyone who says otherwise is either a fool or a communist. What I do know is that this Lampizator fronted room was one of the most effortless and graceful sounding spaces I’ve heard in a very long time.
Yes, ’twas pulchritudinous."

I'm glad I had a chance to hear the Lampizator Big 7 DAC and chat with its designer Lukasz Fikus at The Show in Newport Beach. I appreciated his enthusiasm and candor, and came away wanting to hear some of the newer models in their product line. If you're considering buying a 2-Channel DAC for your audio system, I agree with Positive Feedback's Mark Pearson—you will want to give these products an audition. They deserve to be heard.

Gingko Audio – DanaCable – Wells Audio – Lampizator
Ever since I read John Zurek's review of the Gingko Audio ClaraVu 7 speakers ($8995) in PF issue 67 I've been looking forward to hearing them. At this show, they were in a system that paired them up with the new Signature edition of the Wells Audio Innamorata amplifier ($13,000) and a combination of Lampizator digital gear, the Big 7 DAC ($11,500) and Transport music streamer ($2650). Everything was hooked up with a collection of DanaCables. The sound in this room had that wonderful and rare combination that could music lovers swoon and audiophiles stop obsessing. When the music started nothing else mattered.

I’ve been a fan of LampizatOr for several years now, and all I can say is that the brand is getting better with each iteration. Given that high starting place, you might think that I’m saying that they’re some of the best DACs you can buy, and if you thought I thought that, well, you’d be right.
This room was packed all weekend. You’d think these brands have some kind of cult following or something. Ahem. Anyway, on the one occasion that I was able to elbow my way in for photos and a front-row seat, I was very taken with the rich textures and full sound.
Definitely a highlight of the show.

The sound on a Red Book track by Peter Gabriel was distinguished by wonderful warmth and air. An 88.2/24 track by Cassandra Wilson, which sounded luscious, further convinced me that these components have a lot to offer. I left the room wanting more.

You can plunge into the Lampizator purchase.... They are indestructible.
Well, I guess you're right, Lukasz. My friend followed your recipe for cooking a Lampizator, especially one submerged in dirty river water and, damn it, after the recommended cooling down period it worked! Hallelujah...thank you audio gods and thank you, Lukasz Fikus.
It will be a few months before my I have a place in our house to listen to music, but I'm absolutely thrilled that my lovely Lampizator is up and running.
